[The video shows Kyouko transformed, irritated and out of breath. Her lip is bleeding, but that's about the only visible injury.]

I found her.

[revelation]

Kyouko-chan!

Is she okay? Are- are you okay?

[invocation]

I dunno. She's acting nuts.

[The answer to the first question. As for the second.] I'm fine. There was a fight, and she ran off somewhere.

[revelation]

[ well, she isn't sure just how to take that answer. ]

A fight? Does that mean... [ there would only be one reason for them to fight, wasn't there? ] She does know, doesn't she?

[invocation]

Yeah.

[Kyouko sighs and settles down somewhere. There's the sound of something unwrapping — the last little bit of her candy stash.] She was pretty pissed off. [A pause.] She said a lot of crazy stuff. If it hadn't surprised me so much, I would've kicked her ass.

[An inaccurate retelling of how the conversation went.]

[revelation]

[ there is a long moment of silence where Madoka panics, wondering if she should drop her tablet and run off to find Sayaka or stay in the room she's been hiding in. ]

... I want to see her. [ she finally admits, voice cracking. ] But that probably wouldn't be a good idea and I don't want her to get more upset.

[invocation]

[Ah, jesus. She can't deal with crying. Or the start of it, anyway.] Hey, cut that out.

We can look for her together. If it's two of us looking, we can corner her.

[revelation]

I-I'm sorry! [ deep breaths, Madoka. ]

Ye-yeah, let's do our best. And- and when we're done, um... [ because since their talk the other day, this thought has been eating away at her. she had been so upset about keeping the truth from Sayaka, she didn't even stop to think she was keeping even more from her and Kyouko too. ] I have something I need to talk with you about.

[invocation]

Hm?

[She frowns, more thoughtful than annoyed.] What is it?

[revelation]

It's something about home and about us.

I want us to be able to speak in person, so... [ a beat. ] I'm sorry ahead of time, for keeping this a secret for so long.

[invocation]

Are ya kidding? [God, Madoka. She can't keep the strained annoyance out of her tone this time.] And it's gotta be now?

[revelation]

No, it doesn't have to be now. [ she doesn't bother to answer that first question. ] I need to get some things together.

[ her own voice is just... tired and flat. ]

I'll send you a message when I'm done, but I'm going to look for Sayaka-chan for now. I'll tell you if I see her too.

[invocation]

[She's unaccustomed to hearing that tone from Madoka of all people, so she just says, gruffly:] Yeah, alright. I'll keep looking for her too. It can't be that easy to hide around here.
